Hi, I am Alex.

I am like you. I am an ophthalmic assistant. I work in a clinic and assist doctors (both optometrists and ophthalmologist) in their day to day tasks. So, I know what you are going through and how much of a learning curve is involved in ophthalmology.

I don’t have advanced knowledge of the eye. I try to learn every day and post things that I think are important to passing the COA.

I  had to work hard and study to pass the COA. I am not one of those guys that can wake up one morning decide to take a test and pass flying colors. Hopefully I can share something with you that will help you with your preparation to become a COA. Everything that I post is information that I wish I had while I was preparing.

I AM a COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant). I know that it is difficult to find time to study. That time can become exponentially harder to find with a family to provide for. I know that it is hard, but if I can do it you can do it to!

Why Did I Create This Website?

Currently the books that are offered to those trying to pursue their COA are low-yeild. Low-yeild means that they are filled with loads of information, and by loads I mean way more than what is necessary to pass this test. I want to create something that is high-yeild. This means that only necessary information is used. This cuts out the fluff and gives you exactly what you need to know.
